Pencil and Paper
My first medium and my favorite. No matter how much new technology I introduce to my drawing world, I always find myself returning to pencil and paper. There is a certain calmness to the process that keeps me coming back to the traditional method every time I have a few minutes of free time.
Digital Art
I have experimented with a lot of digital art throughout the years using programs like Photoshop and Procreate. Whether I am making collages on my laptop or drawing on my iPad, I love the limitless possibilities that technology allows in the realm of art and design.
Illustrator and Graphic Design
I started designing logos for fun when I was in high school. I familiarized myself with Illustrator, but never really took it seriously. After a while, I began receiving commission from friends and family to design graphics and create logos. I fell in love with the process of bringing a client's ideas to life.
Dakin Draws
Dakin Draws began as an Instagram account that I created to display my artwork online for my friends and family. As the page grew, I decided to turn it into a brand (kinda). I made custom shoes for my friends, and then I created a line of merchandise featuring my drawings and logos
